My interest in the capital markets has been a constant throughout my life going back to when I was a child. I remember watching the Great Recession unfold from my living room, seeing the talking heads speak about the markets was fascinating to me, it was like they were speaking another language. I signed up for a few business classes and clubs in highschool, and when I opened my first brokerage account the week I turned 18 I knew that this was the major that I belonged in.
I know that I wouldn't be in the position that I am in today if it wasn't for all the people who've helped me along the way. From my upperclassmen buddies to my peers in my classes and even the Investment Management Workshop, I recognize that no one can succeed without help. I hope that I can do for incoming freshmen what my countless people have done for me.
